1st Year Students and Transfer Students

During your first year as a CASP student, you will be asked to fulfill the following scholarship requirements delineated below. Additionally, you can download a PDF handout of the requirements on our website under CASP scholarship requirements. :

Attend CASP 101 Hybrid Dates (Click here to access CASP 101 website using UCSD Email):
- Tuesday 8/19/25 (REMOTE)
  - First-Year and Transfer Students
- Wednesday 8/20/25 (IN PERSON)
  - First-Year Students
- Thursday 8/21/25 (IN PERSON)
  - Transfer Students
- Friday 8/22/25 (REMOTE)
  - Transfer Students
Attend the CASP Academic Year Kickoff – Meet the new 2025 cohort, returning scholars, as well as staff & faculty who support and help make our program possible! The event will be in person on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, at Matthews Quad from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. For more information please contact casp@ucsd.edu
CASP Peer Leaders (CPLs) – At the end of CASP 101, you will receive a form to select who you would like to meet with. You are required to meet 2x with your CPL or other mentor per quarter.
Once-A-Week Learning Communities (OLC) – All first year CASP students are required to register for a CASP OLC or other learning community in Fall 2025, Winter 2026 and Spring 2026 quarters. You will receive more information to register.

Don’t worry about memorizing these, you’ll get PLENTY of reminders from our office to make sure you’re on track!
